An integral part of the JP Dog Foundation is donating to UK non-profit animal charities. That is why 5% of quarterly profits are donated equally to three charities that are doing life-changing work across the country for animals and people alike. It’s so vital to help charities because often it is a large source of their income, and allows them to continue to do the amazing work that they do, 365 days a year. With JPDF being a UK business I found it even more important to support local and national charities, and found three fantastic charities to support. And thus through the services that JPDF currently offers in London (dog walking, dog training, dog day care and dog overnight boarding), together we are directly supporting these charities.
All Dogs Matter
All Dogs Matter is a dog rescue and rehoming charity working in and around London to transform the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs. They also rehome dogs from overseas. In 2019 All Dogs Matter rescued and rehomed over 415 dogs with new owners. They also found forvever homes for 27 unwanted and abandoned dogs from China, Egypt and Italy. Pets as Therapy
Pets As Therapy is a national charity founded in 1983. They enhance health and wellbeing in the community through the visits of trusted volunteers with their behaviourally assessed animals. They provide a visiting service in hospitals, hospices, nursing and care homes, special needs schools and a variety of other venues all across the UK. Their therapeutic visits improve the lives of people suffering from debilitating mental and physical health conditions and illnesses, enhance lives in our communities by providing companionship and friendship and helps to tackle loneliness, and improve literacy in children by developing their confidence, interest and enjoyment in reading through their read2dogs scheme. StreetVet was born in 2016, inspired by the incredible bond between a homeless man and his dog. Victims of the UK homelessness epidemic often have scant support, except for, in a growing number of cases, the companionship of their pets. The bond between many homeless people and their dogs is profound, such that their pets’ wellbeing is a life-shaping priority. StreetVet vets and nurses, working with outreach organisations, are out in multiple communities weekly. Since inception they have helped care for hundreds of street dogs. Each year these three UK animal charities are carrying out crucial work in helping to work towards not only improving animal welfare but also the lives of humans across the nation. Keep an eye out on the JP Dog Foundation’s website and the JPDF Instagram for updates on the totals raised every quarter for these charities. Show your support by donating directly to them, or through booking a 1-to-1 dog walking service, dog day care or overnight boarding for your dogs with JPDF, where 5% of the profits will be donated to these charities.
